On 30 Oct 2005, I had set myself a personal goal – TO BE ABLE TO PURCHASE A DOUBLE-STORY TERRACE HOUSE EITHER WITHOUT A BANK LOAN AT ALL OR WITH A LOAN TENOR OF LESS THAN 3 YEARS.

I had set my mind to ACHIEVE THIS GOAL IN 4 YEARS. The house should be mine by 30 Oct 2009. I had also set my mind the method to achieve my goal – TO BE A FOUNDER OF AN INTERNET SERVICE. For this to happen, I need to develop a computer system and make it earn money for me.

Others see my venture as a huge risk (but not me) because I resigned from my office day job as a Software Engineer to enable me to do this. As such, apart from developing the system, I need to find ways to help me sustain. I am currently living off my savings that I have accumulated during my first 4 years of working in the corporate world.

To me, this blog serves the following purposes :
1) It shall push me when I needed some push. Encouragements from readers like you are very much appreciated.
2) To force me to be more committed to my plans & goals by letting the whole world know. Now, I know that I’ll “lose face” if I fail. So failure is not an option anymore.
3) To keep myself on course, in the right direction, by constantly reminding myself of my plans & goal by submitting a blog entry at the end of every day (or every 2 days at worse).
4) By forcing myself to write something at the end of the day also means that I have to make sure that I do have daily developments that move forward to my goal, no matter how small it is. The readers of this blog will keep tabs on me, watching & monitoring my development. I need you guys to do this because, now, I do not have a boss to do that to me, I do not have a boss to report to – I have only myself to report to. Am I missing a boss ? Maybe. :P
5) To have a dairy of my experiences that I can look back & refer to, after I have succeeded on or before 30 Oct 2009. In other words, this blog will serve as an archive 4 years later – containing 4 years of unforgettable history.

I will share my daily or bidaily entrepreneurial lessons & experiences. Unlike reading books on entrepreneurship, this blog contains real-time, real-life, real-person, real-entrepreneur’s stories.

This blog is born today at 1 am 20th April 2006. I’ll remember this date & time forever.
